What are professional interest groups?

The American Diabetes Association's (ADA’s) professional interest groups are member-only communities that connect healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and other diabetes experts who share a specialty interest in diabetes care, research, education, or public health. These groups provide opportunities to collaborate with peers, exchange knowledge, stay current on emerging developments, and engage with experts dedicated to advancing diabetes outcomes.

Why join an interest group?

Joining an ADA interest group can help you grow professionally while staying connected to the latest developments in diabetes care and research. Benefits include:

  • Connect with peers who share your specialty and professional interests.
  • Expand your expertise through knowledge-sharing and discussions focused on specific areas of diabetes care, research, and education.
  • Access leadership opportunities and contribute to activities that shape the diabetes professional community.
  • Gain professional recognition through awards, engagement opportunities, and contributions to your field.
