Will there be a virtual option if I cannot attend in person? 

Yes, the program will be livestreamed and available on demand for 50 days post-meeting. Sessions will be available on demand 24 hours after the session concludes. 

Photography/Video

Photography, including camera-enabled cell phones, videotaping, and audio recording in session rooms during the conference is forbidden. 

What is the proper dress code for the conference? 

We encourage participants to dress comfortably in business casual attire. The temperature in meeting rooms will vary so we suggest you bring a sweater or light jacket for your comfort. The weather in Orlando in February averages between 57 and 74 degrees F (14 and 23 degrees C).

In what language is the conference presented? 

The conference will be presented in English. 

Will Wi-Fi be available for attendees? 

Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available in the session room and throughout the hotel.

Are children allowed at the meeting? 

Children under the age of 18 will not be permitted access to the session room. Exceptions can be made for nursing mothers. For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed.

Will any food or refreshments be available? 

Yes, there are some food and beverage options located in the hotel. 

When will registration for the 2025 Clinical Update Conference open? 

Registration and housing will open November 6, 2024.

Who is CMR? 

Convention Management Resources, Inc. (CMR) manages the registration process for the Clinical Update Conference on behalf of the American Diabetes Association.

How do I book my hotel? 

Special discounted room rates have been negotiated with the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate and can be reserved once registration and housing opens on November 6, 2024.

Do I have to be an ADA professional member to attend the conference?

No, you do not. However, you can become an ADA professional member when you register for the conference to be eligible for the member rate. Please note, if you become a member after you have registered, you will not be eligible for the member rates. You must be a member at the time of registration to receive the discount.

How do I renew my ADA professional membership number?

If you do not have your professional membership ID number, please contact our Membership Department at membership@diabetes.org or (800) 232-3472 (U.S. & Canada)/(703) 253-4999 (international) Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET.

How do I renew my ADA professional membership?

You can renew your professional membership when you register for the meeting. Simply sign in under the Member Login section with your email. If your membership expires prior to February 28, 2025, you will be presented with the options to renew.

How long is my ADA professional membership valid?

For one year.

What are the benefits of becoming an ADA professional member when registering for the Clinical Update Conference?
