Description: Join other American Diabetes Association® (ADA) professional members on April 8, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM EST for a live, one-hour panel discussion webinar, Heat vs Cold: Point-Counter-Point. This ADA webinar will explore heat as a potential alternative to exercise for improving hepatic mitochondrial function and glucose regulation. Panelists will also discuss how cold-activated brown adipose tissue (BAT) supports thermogenesis and may help prevent weight gain, insulin resistance, and atherosclerosis, highlighting the distinct effects of heat and cold therapy on diabetes-related conditions. The panel will share five actionable tips for supporting professionals and people with diabetes and host a live Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
