Your membership number can be found on your membership card or your Personal Snapshot, which is found after logging into your ADA Community Hub profile. Your membership number is also displayed on your journal label, located above your name and address.

Your digital member card and participation letter can be found on your ADA Community Hub profile located on your current membership card. If you do not see options for member card or participation letter and your membership is current, please contact the ADA’s Professional Membership Customer Service team at 1-800-232-3472 or by emailing membership@diabetes.org.

You can locate and print your receipt in your ADA Community Hub. Once there, select “My Orders” from the left menu and “Print Receipt” on the order in question.

You can enroll in the Auto-Renewal Payment Program by adding a saved payment method through the Community Hub under “My Payment Methods.” After adding your payment method, you can opt in through “My Scheduled Payments” on your ADA Community Hub. You can also opt-in to auto-renewal during your membership renewal period by choosing the auto renewal drop down on the payment page.

Auto renewal is not applicable for Student and Early Career member types. Auto renewal will renew your membership for one- or two-year terms based on your preference and chosen member type. Auto renewal payments will be charged on the first day of the month after your current membership term ends. Journals tied to your membership will automatically renew as well. 1. Overview
By enrolling in the ADA’s Auto-Renewal Payment Program for professional membership, you agree to these terms and conditions. The program is designed to ensure uninterrupted ADA membership by automatically renewing it and your chosen journal subscription on an annual basis.

2. Eligibility
The program is available to all active members of the ADA with the exclusion of Student and Early Career member types. To participate, you must provide valid payment information and consent to the automatic renewal of your membership.

3. Membership Fee
The membership fee is provided via the purchased invoice amount. The ADA holds the right to change membership dues at any time. Members will be notified of any changes at least 90 days prior to the renewal date. All members will receive notification 30 days prior to their card on file being charged.

4. Renewal Process
Your membership will automatically renew on the anniversary of your initial membership date. The renewal payment will be processed using the payment method you provided during enrollment in the program.

5. Payment Authorization
By enrolling in the program, you authorize the ADA to charge the specified membership fee to your designated payment method annually. If your payment method is declined, you will be notified and must provide a valid payment method to maintain your membership.

6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your participation in the program at any time by managing your auto renewal payments under “My Scheduled Payments" on the Community Hub or by calling our customer service team at 1-800-232-3472. Opting out will reactivate renewal notifications for your account. Cancellations must be received at least 30 days prior to your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next membership period.

Membership fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your membership after a renewal payment has been processed, you will retain access to membership benefits until the end of the current membership period.

8. Changes to Terms
The ADA reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes via email or through our website. Continued participation in the program after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Contact Information

Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in the Auto-Renewal Payment Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.

You can renew your membership online at the bottom of your ADA Community Hub profile with the “Renew” button. You can also renew via the mailed or emailed renewal notices. The renewal application is sent during the last 30 days of your current membership.

You can change your address through your ADA Community Hub profile. Choose “Edit My Profile” from the left menu, update to your current information, and select, “Save.” When renewing your membership, you may also send your new address on your renewal notice with your payment.

If you have already renewed your membership, please disregard additional renewal notices by mail or email. You many receive these for a few reasons:

  • If you renewed by mail: It can take several weeks for your payment to process and letters are pre-sorted several months in advance
  • If you renewed by email: We may have created our email-send list right before you renewed

If you are ever unsure of your membership status, you can check it on your ADA Community Hub profile by choosing “My Orders” on the left menu.

The ADA does not refund membership dues except in the case of accidental duplicate payments. If you send a second or duplicate payment for an ADA membership, it is automatically applied to your membership and your membership expiration date is extended. If you choose to cancel the second/duplicate payment, the ADA will reimburse you for the unused portion. If you signed up for the wrong membership type or journal subscription, please contact the ADA Professional Membership Customer Service team at 1-800-232-2472 to make the correction.

The ADA does not transfer memberships from one name to another. The existing membership must remain in the name of the original recipient. If you received a legal name change, please call the ADA Professional Membership Customer Service team at 1-800-232-2472 or membership@diabetes.org

Information about all the ADA’s journals can be found on our professional journals page

If you would like to add an additional journal to your membership, please contact the ADA’s Professional Membership Customer Service team at 1-800-232-3472 or membership@diabetes.org.

All institution or agency subscription inquiries should be sent to membershiporders@diabetes.org.
