Abstract Books

Scientific Sessions abstracts from 2004–2018 were published in the Abstract Book as the supplement to the journal Diabetes® in the year of the meeting. Beginning in 2019, both regular submission and late breaking abstracts were published on the journal Diabetes website. 

Late Breaking Abstracts from 2007–2018 were printed in an online Diabetes supplement in PDF file format.

Abstract Citation

The AMA format for citing abstracts is as follows:

Citation Format–Hardcopy: 
Authors. Abstract title [abstract]. Diabetes. Year;
Volume (suppl + number): Page Number(s).

Example:
Kwon H, Jun HS, Yoon JW. Development of Autoreactive
Diabetogenic T Cells in the Thymus of NOD Mice [abstract].
Diabetes. 2004; 53 (suppl 2): A299

Per AMA guidelines, the online version of an abstract may also be cited. The citation format is as follows:

Citation Format–Online: 
Authors. Abstract title [abstract].
Diabetes. Year; Volume (suppl + number).
Abstract url. Accessed + date.
