Note: You must be a member at the time of registration to receive member pricing.  If your membership expires before February 28, 2025, you will be given the option to renew your membership. You are not eligible for member pricing if your membership expires, and you renew your membership after you have registered. Community Health Worker, Early Career, Student, Associate and Emerging Nation Memberships do not qualify for member pricing.

Students, Residents and Fellows must submit proof of status attesting to current enrollment as a student, employment as a resident or appointment as a fellow to receive discounted registration fees.

One of the following must be submitted:

Student/Resident ID that has an expiration date. If your Student/Resident ID does not have an expiration date on it, you may send it along with a copy of your transcript or letter of acceptance from your educational institution or Resident program.

OR

A dated letter from your institution on letter head, signed by an advisor or department head showing that you are currently enrolled as a student, employed as a resident, or have a fellowship.

To request the discounted registration fee please submit your proof of status to adacucsupport@cmrus.com or fax to (415) 293-4073. Upon receipt and verification of your proof of status you will be sent an Invitation Code via email to register.

Government employees or military personnel from the United States must provide a current Government ID as proof of status to receive the discounted registration fee.

The industry rate is for employees of pharmaceutical companies or device manufacturers. To register as Industry, log in as a Non-Member and select Industry as your registration type.

Registrations Changes or Cancellations

  • Name changes and substitutions are not permitted.
  • All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing and sent to the ADA-CUC Registration Support Center or faxed to (415) 293-4073.
  • For a full refund of the registration fee, requests must be received on or before December 31, 2024.
  • Cancellation requests received between January 1, 2025 and January 28, 2025 will receive a full refund of the registration fee less a $50 administrative fee. 
  • Cancellation requests received after January 28, 2025 will not receive a refund. If you are unable to attend due to circumstances related to COVID-19 then a full refund may be considered.
  • ADA donations and Membership fees are non-refundable.
  • All attempts will be made to process refunds within 30 days of cancellation.

There are companies claiming to offer registration services for the Clinical Update Conference that are not affiliated with the ADA and do not offer any services on our behalf. You may receive emails or phone calls from these companies urging you to register. Registration should only be accessed from the Clinical Update Conference website and reserved through the ADA’s official registration provider, Convention Management Resources (CMR). If you do not see this logo on the website, they are not our official provider.

If you are contacted by any agency other than CMR, please immediately notify CMR.

Payment Information

The American Diabetes Association accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa as forms of credit card payment. Wire transfers are not accepted. Payments by check must be drawn on a U.S. bank, in U.S. dollars, and be made payable to the American Diabetes Association.​
