As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the American Diabetes Association is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. The American Diabetes Association maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive up to 250 continuing education credits.

To satisfy the requirement for renewal of certification by continuing education for the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE), continuing education activities must be diabetes related and approved by a provider on the NCBDE List of Approved Providers.
