The purpose of the American Diabetes Association Interest Group on Diabetes in Pregnancy & Reproductive Health is to stimulate research on the pathophysiology and treatment of diabetes mellitus and its complications during pregnancy, to develop improved methods for patient care, to disseminate such information to health professionals, women with diabetes, and others concerned with their care, and to influence public policy toward improved outcomes of pregnancies complicated by diabetes.
