The American Diabetes Association's Professional Section Interest Groups provide a forum for the exchange of information in specific areas of diabetes research and care. The Interest Groups have more than 13,000 members.

Interest Group members contribute to the Association in a variety of ways. Members serve on policy-making committees; write technical reviews, position statements and other publications; and act as liaisons to other organizations.
