Young Investigator Travel Grant Awards

The ADA offers Young Investigator Travel Grants for the 30 top scoring abstracts submitted for presentation.

The selection criteria are as follows:

  • You must be the first author on the abstract and/or the author who will deliver the Oral or Poster presentation.
  • You must have a PhD, MD, DO, DPM, RN, or RD degree.
  • For PhD, MD, DO, and DPM applicants, you must be a postdoctoral fellow or hold a title no higher than that of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
  • For RN or RD applicants, you must have received your degree/credentials within the past seven (7) years.

The application process is fairly simple. When acceptance notifications are sent to the Corresponding/Presenting Authors in mid-March, you will be asked if you wish to apply for a Travel Grant. If you choose to apply, you will be asked to certify that you meet the above criteria. Abstract scores from the review process will determine the travel grant recipients.

The ADA Young Investigator Travel Grant Award has been pre-screened and approved for NIH employees by the NIH ACD and DEC (6/09).

Students/residents/fellows are also eligible for a reduced registration rate. Please see the Registration page for further information.
