The ADA Simulation Case Program
April 12, 2011 - December 31, 2012

The ADA Simulation Case Program, powered by TheraSim, is an online case simulation program designed to evaluate and reinforce best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diabetes. During these case simulation activities, the participant will be able to engage in a physician/patient interview, review patient history, order lab tests, make a diagnosis, and design an appropriate treatment strategy.  Similar to real life, the participant can make decisions based on an unlimited number of choices.  In this environment, patients come to life and the impact of diagnostic and therapeutic choices are instantly analyzed using an expert knowledgebase of best practices and pharmacokinetic data.  The resulting feedback is delivered instantly to the user.

By completing these case simulations, the participants will be able to better:

1. Recognize and apply the American Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Recommendations to the simulated patients

2. Identify appropriate diagnostic, management and treatment measures to patients who may have cardiometabolic risk, type 2 diabetes, and/or associated macro- or microvascular complications.
