More than 15,000 top scientists, physicians and other health care professionals from around the world gather each year at the American Diabetes Association's Scientific Sessions to share cutting-edge research, treatment recommendations, and advances toward a cure for diabetes. Keep your readers, viewers, and listeners informed of the advances made in fighting this disease that affects nearly 24 million children and adults in the United States, contributes to the deaths of over 220,000 Americans each year and costs our nation more than $174 billion annually.
The American Diabetes Association provides complimentary access to its Scientific Sessions and Exhibit Floor to credentialed members of the media, including print, broadcast and online media. Media representatives welcome to attend include reporters, writers, photographers and videographers. For these media, the Association provides a staffed News Room, featuring traditional amenities, including phone/fax/modem lines, computers with Internet access, daily breakfast and lunch, and other related services.
Credentialed members of the media may register to attend the ADA's annual Scientific Sessions, but are required to provide ADA staff with a copy of press credentials and letter of assignment prior to being confirmed a registration. Qualified media outlets must be represented by editorial staff, not advertising or marketing staff. Publishers will not be considered part of the editorial staff. Media registration is limited to no more than 2 individuals per outlet.
