The Scientific Sessions are held in June each year and provide an opportunity for members of the diabetes community from around the world to participate in the largest annual research and clinical meeting on diabetes. Sessions focus on the latest information in the areas of basic and clinical research and on the application of this information to clinical practice.

5K@ADA - Results
Hundreds of runners and walkers participated in the 5K@ADA Fun Run/Walk, sponsored by Novo Nordisk, Inc. Adam Wende was the first to complete the scenic, five-kilometer course in a time of 17:37, and Marie Grunnegaard was the top female finisher at 20:29. Maura Marchiori was the first walker to cross the finish line with a time of 27:04, followed by the top male walker Ralph Eccles with a time of 30:50.Full results and photo/video galleries are available here. In all, nearly 1,500 attendees registered for the event.
